Description

The real deal reproduction of the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing rear spoiler. Built to the OEM dimensions and a direct bolt on to all Blackwing models that had to drop their CF 1/2 packages. Made from hand laid 2x2 carbon fiber weave. Finished in a fully clear coated and polished exterior with the OEM V style weave. Spoilers are only listed as available if they are in stock. If you place an order, that means a spoiler is available for you. Anticipate 2-3 weeks for delivery, but sometimes faster.

Spoilers come with OEM style nut/bolt attachment hardware, as well as 3M double sided foam tape. As an aerodynamic component you cannot rely solely on double sided tape to keep the spoiler attached to the car. Downforce is being applied to the spoiler constantly, as well as flex from the body of the car moving over the roadway. Over time 3M double sided tape will lose its adhesion from heat and weather exposure. Don't take the risk of having your spoiler fly off the car. GM developed these with attachment hardware for a reason. All OEM 5V Blackwing trunks have provisions for the hardware, and no drilling should be required except for the outer edges. You have the option of installing it with or without the hardware on the outer edge to avoid drilling. Later model Blackwing trunks may have all the necessary mounting holes already in place.

Finishing

Spoilers arrive with a UV resistant resin and clear coat. Please expect to have some level of polishing done by your local detailer to attain that mirror smooth visual appearance. I have found that most enthusiasts would rather receive their spoilers faster, at a lower cost, and have detail work done themselves rather than wait additional time for my detailer to complete the task. Please note that carbon fiber as a material will always have some changes in the weave as it wraps around corners or forms around a tight radius. This is the nature of the material and not a defect.
