Descripton

Direct replacement front and rear carbon ceramic rotors with pads for the 2022 - 2026 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing with iron brakes. Instead of dealing with the high replacement cost of OEM or never ending brake dust you can upgrade your brakes and completely eliminate the dust issues.

Development

Engineered utilizing 3D scans of the OEM pad and rotor to allow for a zero modification installation. On these brakes in specific we utilize the latest long strand carbon materials which have proven to be quite robust. Also the carbon rotors are developed under pressure and bonded to obtain the needed shape and grain alignments. You can visually tell because of how consistent the surface is and you do not see individual fibers. Along with the hardened construction, we have a protective friction layer over the rotor face to protect the materials. This is the smooth, almost mirror like finish you saw in the videos and photos. In general this is what most OEM's are using and tend to last 4x longer than standard iron..

Manufacturing & Testing

Brake pad compounds have been torture tested on a brake dynamometer to temperatures exceeding 1000 degrees celsius, with rotors tested to temperatures exceeding 1600 degrees celsius before observable material deterioration. For an OEM replacement this will far exceed any temperatures seen in a street, spirited drive, or track day environment.

Included Parts & Intended Ue

Sets will come complete with front rotors, front pads, rear rotors, and rear pads. All OEM brake hardware will be reusable. Street compound pads are included to ensure excellent pedal modulation, initial bite, and quiet operation. Expect a 35 - 40 lb weight savings over OEM, almost no dust, and three to four times the longevity of the standard iron braking system. For those seeking a track focused build, this is not the targeted usage for this brake pad compound.

Warranty & Service

3-year limited structural warranty for the original purchaser that also covers any deficiencies in workmanship. Allows for free replacement of up to two rotors and 25% discount on any replacement/service parts like pads. Track use is not covered under warranty as it may create excessive wear with the supplied street compound pads. If you intend to track or auto cross the vehicle, let's talk about a different pad compound.

Break in Procedure

New braking systems need time to allow for material transfer between the pad/rotor to obtain optimal braking performance. With our street compound pads it is recommended to allow 500 miles of street driving for this process to occur. The process of braking during normal driving will achieve this process.

Optimal Performance

Carbon ceramic baking systems are amazing at their ability to dissipate heat, but also have an optimal temperature range for operation. This is very similar to the operation of your motor or tires. Bringing the brakes up to their optimal operating temperature is best for performance. For you as a driver it is important that you allow for 5-10 braking events to warm up the pad/rotor before trying to do emergency or performance braking events. If driving in cold weather or after the brakes have cooled, allow for them to warm before attempting to apply performance or emergency braking. Driving on cold brakes is the same as driving on cold tires.
